Our Story
It all started in 2014, when mutual friends introduced us. A couple of lame jokes must’ve landed, because sparks flew and feelings were felt.
Coming from creative, slightly alternative backgrounds, we were naturally drawn to one another. The more time we spent together, the more we uncovered shared interests and values. Several thousand texts and a few awkward dates later, we were 'Facebook official'. Just three months in, Jade told her grandmother, “I think I’ve met the person I’m going to marry”, and as it turned out, that early prediction was right.
By 2018, we took the leap and bought a house together. Since then, we’ve shared our lives (and our couch) with three beloved greyhounds. We've laughed together, cried together, survived music festivals together, hosted two-person parties at home, endured a global pandemic — and through it all, we continue to grow together and learn from one another.
Not-so-fast-forward to December 28, 2024. I (finally) proposed to Jade in a sunny vineyard in Durbanville - where our adventure first began - and she said yes!
We’re so excited to celebrate the start of our next chapter with all the people who’ve been part of our story so far.
THE WEDDING
Directions
From Cape Town
Follow the N2 towards Caledon for 113km. Continue along the N2, passing the towns of Caldeon and Myddleton. Continue for another 1.6km and look out for Die Woud signage. Make a sharp right turn off the N2 onto a gravel road towards Die Woud entrance, and follow signs towards the parking area. Once you've arrived, you'll be directed to the ceremony area.
Raise a glass!
You'll be greeted with a welcome cocktail and canapés after the ceremony. There will be champagne and wine served at your table plus a fully stocked bar with card facilities. Please note that it's a cashless system so only card payments will be accepted.
Accommodation
For guests wanting to stay the night in Caledon, there's a hotel 5km away and more accommodation options within 10km of the venue. Please be sure to book as soon as possible as the options are limited.
Transport
There is plenty of parking at the venue for the responsible drivers, but for those who would like to have a drink we please ask that you do it safely and catch the shuttle to and from the wedding venue. Shuttles will be available to guests staying in accommodation in Caledon. Please let us know in your RSVP if you will be requiring this service so that we can plan accordingly.

We've been fortunate enough to have already created a home with everything we need, but we understand that some may still wish to give a gift.
